LOVE OF GOD AND LOVE FOR GOD

BECAUSE YOU HAVE LOVED ME

For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have come to believe that I came from God. (Jn 16:27)

But let all who take refuge in you be glad and exult forever. Protect them, that you may be the joy of those who love your name. - Psalm 5:12

Lord I Love You. You are the reason why my joy is always full and complete. Your presence in me has brought great things into my life and only a God like you can do all these for me.

HOW CAN THE LOVE OF GOD BE IN HIM?

If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? --1 John. 3:17

19 Beloved, we love God because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. 5: 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the Father loves also the one begotten by him. 2 In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, 4 for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith. (1 John 4:19-5:4)

If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs (Dt. 15:7-8).

He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God (Prv. 14:31). He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses (Prv. 28:27). A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor (Prv. 22:9). He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done (Prv. 19:17).

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them (Heb. 6:10).
